Lehenga Sewing Pattern
Okay, okay, okay. Hold up. Check out dis double circular skirt, y'all! It's got that full on flare, lemme tell ya. I made this draft myself because I am just THAT amazing at sewing. Don't be jelly now.
So let me give you the rundown of what you're gonna need to create this awesome piece. First, you're gonna need some materials:
Materials:
- Fabric (duh)
- Elastic band
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Pins
- Thread
- Sewing machine (or a needle and some patience)
Once you gather all of that up, it's time to move on to the pattern sizes. Listen, it's important to get this right or your skirt is gonna look all wonky and nobody wants that.
Pattern Sizes:
Okay, so here's how it goes. Measure around your waist and multiply that number by 2.5. That's how much fabric you're gonna need for the skirt. For the elastic band, measure around your waist and subtract 2-3 inches (depending on how tight you want it). Cut the elastic band to that length. Got it? Good.
Now it's time to get into the nitty-gritty. Here's how to create this beauty:
How to:
- Cut 2 circles out of your fabric. The radius should be half of the length you measured earlier.
- Using a basting stitch, sew the two circles together to create a single piece of fabric.
- Then sew the elastic band together to make a circle.
- Match the elastic band to the fabric, right sides together, and sew with a zig-zag stitch. Make sure you stretch the elastic band while sewing so it attaches nicely to the fabric.
- Now you got a flared skirt! Go show off your hard work, you crafty little thing, you.
There you have it! A double circular skirt that is sure to turn heads. Now, you may be wondering why I didn't give you a description of how it looks or what inspired me to make this masterpiece. But, let's be real, the picture speaks for itself and the inspiration was simply my own genius creative mind. Happy sewing!
